Last week we had a terrific job seeking seminar! More than 350 folks registered to learn about how to stay motivated during the job search and learned a lot about the basics of job seeking.
Tomorrow, Thursday, April 9 at 11:00 a.m., I will host another seminar, The Job Search: Free Resources.
As I've stated before: Job seeking is a skill. There are various aspects to job seeking that will make you a more successful job seeker: from resumes and cover letters, interviewing and networking, self branding and marketing
yourself to employers. All of these components of the job search are important. In addition, having the skills to LOOK for job most efficiently is another element of successful job seeking.
CJ and her staff work with professionals who are managing their careers. The Jefferson County Workforce Center is one of more than 50 workforce centers throughout the state of Colorado. Workforce centers offer FREE job seeking services including one-on-one job seeking consulting with expert career consultants, resume writing services, seminars and workshops as well as job fairs and other events.
During the state's stay at home order, the Jefferson County Workforce Center is STILL offering many of their free services including virtual career coaching, online webinars and important information about filing for unemployment.
This seminar is for ALL professionals, young and old, to become better job seekers. We will talk about the various challenges of job seeking as well as strategies that can help you land more interviews.We will also discuss the many different resources and opportunities for job seekers as they navigate their way through the many elements of their job search.
